Our story begins in the historic halls of the Politecnico di Milano, It was here that our founder, Liam Carter, first crossed paths with the celebrated Italian designer Sofia Moretti—a partnership forged in late-night studio sessions and shared reverence for timeless, functional beauty.

What started as a student mentorship grew into a decades-long friendship, as they collaborated across Europe to refine a design philosophy that marries Italian elegance with practical, livable spaces.

Years later, Liam brought this vision back to New Zealand, determined to bring world-class design to New Zealand homes.

He joined forces with Edward Yin, one of Auckland’s top Licensed LBP, and secured direct access to premium, cost-effective material supply chains—creating a team that delivers exceptional craftsmanship at unbeatable prices.

Today, House Howe NZ stands as a testament to that cross-continental bond: a renovation and design studio that brings the rigor of world-class architectural education, the artistry of Sofia’s vision, and the reliability of Kiwi building expertise to every project, ensuring flawless results that feel both luxurious and accessible.
